AiM began its first theatre season in 2001 performing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at the Selmer Community Center. Over the next few years AiM developed a reputation for children's theatre, staging an average of four performances a year at McNairy Central High School's Little Theatre. Volunteer directors, casts, and crew members from across the region came together creating a true community theatre. The nomadic troupe held open auditions at the Selmer Community Center and rehearsals at various public buildings or churches. As the program evolved more ambitious material included adult drama, Broadway musicals, original scripts,  and dinner theatre. 

In 2012, AiM theatre finally gained a home of its own at the McNairy County Visitor's and Cultural Center (The Latta). Into the Woods, marked the ambitious christening of the brand new Latta Theatre. The AiM Performing Arts committee now stages four to six productions annually in the beautiful, state of the art venue. The program continues to attract new actors and audiences from all over Southwest Tennessee and North Mississippi. AiM's community theatre is now numbered among the best and most active rural theatre groups in the state.
