Randy Bishop, the author of eleven books, is a thirty-three year veteran high school teacher and serves as an adjunct history professor for Jackson State Community College (TN) and Northeast MS Community College. Bishop’s books are largely Civil War-themed and include battlefield books related to TN, Kentucky, and MS along with A Civil War Devotional, March for Union, African American Civil War Medals of Honor, and The Tennessee Brigade. He serves as a city council member in his hometown of Middleton, Tennessee and has held various positions in his local church and civic organizations. He and his wife, also a teacher, are the parents of two grown sons and recently became first-time grandparents.
