Arts in McNairy – What’s in it for me?
Why You Should Consider Donating.
Since 2001, Arts in McNairy has been offering our fellow citizens and neighbors a wide array of quality arts programs and performances. AiM has been blessed with a number of grants from local and state organizations to finance these projects. However, AiM operates primarily through generous donations from individual, businesses and families that work, play and live in McNairy County.
Now that AiM has grown to have staff and a beautiful new facility, The Latta Visitor’s and Cultural Center, we will rely on the enthusiasm and support of our community even more. This new center has opened up many opportunities for our community to participate and enjoy arts created and performed by McNairy County citizens of all ages.
Arts encourage people engage in their community. When a person purchases a ticket or participates in an event, they spend an average of $24.00 eating in restaurants, filling their gas tanks and shopping before and after arts events. AiM attract 3,000 plus audience members and participants annually. What this means is that close to $200,000 is put directly in to the cash registers of local businesses annually. AiM operates on a budget of less than $50,000. What a great return on investment, don’t you think?

Arts have long been proven to enhance student academic achievement and overall well-being. And with budget cuts, students in public schools often do not get the opportunity to be involved in singing, dancing, acting, painting, fine craft, etc. AiM strive to fill those gaps and create those opportunities in a cost efficient manner with support from private donations and grants. Unlike taxes, your donation is voluntary and flexible. What great performance can you help inspire?
