Broomcorn Festival
A celebration of Southern handcraft
The McNairy County Broomcorn Festival takes place the third Saturday of each September at Hockaday Handmade Brooms & Farm, 2074 TN Highway 142, Selmer. First launched in 1996 and revived in 2025, the Broomcorn Festival is a family-friendly day of craft demonstrations, music, food, and fun. It is a down-home celebration of the region's deep roots in traditional arts and handcraft, cosponsored by 4th generation Selmer broom maker, Jack Martin of Hockaday Brooms, and Arts in McNairy.
