Constance
Beck:
Located in downtown Adamsville is Appalachian Threads. This unique spinning and
weaving studio, and gift shop; features handwoven items made from all natural
fibers as well as synthetics. Many of the hats, shawls, scarves, and throws are
made from handspun fibers from the owners Angora goats as well as of llama,
alpaca, and wool. While visiting the shop, you can take a step back through time
and watch owner, Constance Beck, weave on her 90 yr old Missouri loom; or comb
and spin the fibers into yarn. Constance has been spinning and weaving for over
twenty years and demonstrates her trade at many local and regional shows.
Appalachian Threads and Designs by Constance Beck are also available at her web
